World Animal Week

WSPA World Animal Week is a celebration of animals that helps to raise awareness and standards of animal welfare worldwide.

From October 4-10 every year, the Week is your chance to help make the world a safer, more compassionate place for all animals. There is no limit to what you can do; the important thing is to take part – and to have fun!

For World Animal Week 2009 WSPA is supporting the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) fund the Nyaru Menteng Sanctuary, home to over 650 orphaned and injured orangutans.

We’re asking people all across Australia to GO BANANAS for ORANGUTANS. These beautiful animals face an uncertain future, but with your support we can help to rescue, care and rehabilitate orangutans back into the wild where they so rightfully belong.
