World Animal Week has become a globally recognised calendar event that unites the world in its celebration of animals and helps raise the standard of animal welfare worldwide. The Week, from October 4-10 every year, is your chance to help make the world a safer, more compassionate place for all animals. There is no limit to what you can do for World Animal Week, the important thing is to take part – and make a noise! World Animal Week 2009 promises to be the biggest and best yet, so start thinking about how you can have your voice heard for animals worldwide. Get Involved How you celebrate World Animal Week is up to you. WSPA has plenty of information you can download at the bottom of this page to give you great ideas about how you can participate. Holding an event to raise awareness and/or funds is one of the most popular ways to celebrate World Animal Week. Whatever you decide, WSPA can provide support and point you in the right direction to ensure your event is a success. Download How to Organise an Event and the World Animal Week Fundraising Guide to help you on your way. Once you have decided on an event please complete our Event Application Form, which you can also use to order materials like posters, stickers, flyers and information about how to attract local media coverage. If you hope to gain sponsorship for your event, you can use our Sponsorship Form. Schools Kids, you can help animals too. There are lots of ways you can make a noise for World Animal Week and have fun doing it. Get your friends involved. Your family, your class, your whole school! We’ve got some great ideas in our Kids’ Fundraising Guide to get you started, and you can speak to your teachers at school and ask them to download our Classroom Activities Guide so your classmates can join in too. Donate Making a donation is a great way to make a noise for animals this World Animal Week because every donation goes to work instantly to touch the lives of animals that need it most.
