While you’re waiting to grow eyebrows, there’s lots of things you can do to have the appearance of thicker, fuller eyebrows.
1) Eyebrow makeup. Choose from an assortment of brow kits that contain the makeup, stencils, brushes and whatever else you need to hide your thinning eyebrows. Easily get salon quality results without the price tag and by doing it yourself. You’ll be amazed at how easy this really is.
Anastasia Kits are very popular for a reason. The color choices, the flexibility in kit options, and the quality have made this brand tower over most of the others.
The Too Faced Brow Envy Shaping & Defining Kit is another wonderful product to help you appear to have thicker eyebrows. It contains stencils, brushes, tweezers, a great stay-put wax, and two colors to combine for the perfect shade. Great reviews, stays on long, and is reasonably priced.
If you want to piece together your own kit, some favorite picks are:
Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Brow Kit is not technically a kit, but it does contain a single color, an angled brow brush, and a nice finishing gel. Bare Escentuals is known for their high quality, natural cosmetics and this product will not disappoint. They offer this in 5 color choices. Smooth & smudge-proof!
The Dior Powder Brow Pencil is probably the all-time best eyebrow pencil ever made! I don’t think you could find a negative review anywhere. Long lasting, easy to feather, true shade matching, and very natural looking. Look more more!
2) Eyebrow tinted fillers. Think of eyebrow tinted fillers as a mascara mixed with hairspray to help shape, hold, and tint your eyebrows quickly and non-permanently.
Lamas Lash Masque is a builder, tint, and conditioner. It’s made for lashes and brows and when they say tint, they do not mean temporary dye. They mean that it colors eyebrows similar to the way mascara colors eyelashes. This stuff stays on and it stay on good. You can feel comfortable knowing that it’s still there late in the day, it’s even sleep-proof!
Mommy Makeup Brow Tint is a reasonably priced and high quality product that boasts a great reputation. This tinted gel will hold your eyebrows in place without looking over-colored. It’s sweat-proof and easy to correct mistakes, but once it’s dry, it becomes very smudge-proof.
3) Eyebrow dyes and tints. Eyebrow dye can help hide thinning eyebrows by darkening lighter hair or fixing uneven tones. In less than one hour, you can have permanent results. Tints are usually semi-permanent and will just last a couple of weeks. Always keep a bottle of sterile eye irrigating solution (people with contact lenses should already have some) nearby while dying your eyebrows. Should some dye get in your eye, use the entire bottle to flush your eye. Carefully follow manufacturer’s instructions and try using Vaseline around the eye area that you don’t want dyed.
Refectocil is the go-to brand for eyebrow dye and we only recommend the dye. We don’t like their tints at all. I don’t know how they got the tints wrong when their eyebrow dye is so great. When buying Refectocil, we suggest buying the “kit”. For example, the Refectocil Natural Brown Color Kit contains not just the dye, but the liquid oxidant, the mixing brush, and a handy glass mixing dish. Don’t even bother trying to buy them separately, it’s just not worth it. Safe enough for all intimate areas.
4) Tattooed eyebrows; aka permanent makeup. Did you know you could do this at home? Try: http://www.eyebrowtattooingmelbourne.com.au
For about $200 you can be done filling, shaping, and worrying with the Feather Touch Cosmetic Tattoo Kit. I’ve seen this unit go for as much as $570, but on Amazon it’s $201. If I were you, I would buy it while it’s still listed there. Another great idea is to use this as background color while you wait for your eyebrow regrowth.…
