Animals aren't allowed to run in the Sun Herald City2Surf fun run, so Andrew and Corey from Bondi Rescue are going to run it for them - and they want you to join them!
If you can make it to Sydney on Sunday 8th of August, why not take part in this iconic event and be part of the WSPA Animal Hero Team to take on the 14 kilometers and raise money for animals around the world.
And don't worry, if you're not in Sydney and can't get to the run, you can still help by telling your Sydney friends about it. You can even send them this link to the WSPA Animal Hero page.
Or if you don't know anyone in Sydney - why not sponsor the Bondi guys? They need all the help they can get to raise funds for animals like the beautiful orangutans who have been orphaned by the palm oil industry.
Last year people who participated in the run raised over $17,600 for WSPA and this year, we're hoping to raise even more.
It's easy to sign up:
1. Register for the run on the City2Surf website: www.city2surf.com.au
2. Join the WSPA Animal Hero Team
3. Encourage your friends and family to sponsor you by sending them the link to your fundraising page and putting it on your social networking sites.
4. Then sneaker-up and start training!
For more information on the run please visit www.city2surf.com.au. And you can call Gudrun Jonsdottir here at WSPA if you have any questions, on 1300 139 772 or email her on gudrunjonsdottir@wspa.org.au.
So register now - we can't wait to see you there!
