In 2009 Havaianas asked kids between the ages of 7-15 years old to release their inner artist and design a thong of an animal they feel passionate about, with the winning print being included in the 2010 Havaianas summer range with 5% of net sales donated to WSPA.
The winner, Jillian Linning from Western Australia, based her design on the shark and explains her motivation behind her choice, “Everyone is mean to sharks. We choose to swim where they live and people kill them. I love them, we should have more respect”.
As part of her prize, Jillian received a symbolic adoption of a Brazilian manatee and her shark design will go on sale in all major Havaianas Kids retailers across Australia in December!
This year’s competition is now open to all ages and the winning prize is a trip to Rio! To find out how to enter please visit www.wspa.havaianas.com
