Meet Our Staff: Florence Bell

May 16, 2012

Meet Florence Bell, volunteer for WSPA Australia.

How long have you been volunteering with WSPA?

Eight years

What made you decide to volunteer for WSPA?

I was a medical secretary during my professional life.  Upon retirement I wanted to concentrate on the welfare of animals.  I chose WSPA.

What do you love most about animals?

Animal principles – such as females attending their young, males attending to the family, strong family groups, and they only hunt to feed.

What’s the best thing about volunteering?

The thrill of knowing, in some small way, that I am contributing to the welfare of animals.

What’s been the highlight of working with WSPA?

Working with a group of dedicated people, volunteering at two of their partners' sanctuaries in Thailand and Australia and attending the lectures given by the visiting International Associates of WSPA.
